Helen Frankenthaler ( 1928 - 2011 ) was an American Abstract Expressionism artist. She is one of the most influential painters and printmakers of the 20th century, responsible for the transition from Abstract Expressionism to Color Field painting. Frankenthaler also invented the method of ‘staining the canvas’ with color. Helen Frankenthaler s works have been put up for auction numerous times, w
