Helen Levitt, American, 1913-2009
Born in New York City, Helen Levitt is a documentary photographer known for her images of urban street life. She began her career in the mid-1930s, inspired by the work of Henri <a href=" https://findartvalue.com/artist/henri-cartier-bresson-1908">Cartier-Bresson</a> and Walker Evans.
