Kingsley Sambo, a Zimbabwean artist, studied art at the Cyrene Mission boarding school in the 1940s. In 1960, he became the cartoonist for the Daily News in Harare (then Salisbury). While in Harare, in the early 1960s, he joined Frank McEwen's Workshop School, where he received further training in painting and began exhibiting in competitions and shows.
