Lionel Abrams
(1931 – 1997)
Lionel Abrahams was born in Johannesburg in 1928. He was an abstract artist who mainly worked in pastels and oils. However, Abrahams is better known as a poet. He was mentored by Herman Charles Bosman, a renowned South African short story writer, and went on to publish many poems, essays, and two novels. He was also a publisher having started Renoster Books in 1956. He printed works by Oswald Mtsh
