Maurice Grosser was born in Huntsville, Alabama in 1903. He entered Harvard in 1920 and two years later he attended a South Boston art class. Within one year following his studies in America he was sent to Italy on a Harvard fellowship. In 1930, he had his first Paris show, followed by exhibitions in the Hague, Amsterdam, Chicago and New York. His paintings are in the permanent collection of the
