Toshio Shibata, Japanese, 1949- The troubling beauty of a natural world reconfigured by human hands provides the focus for Toshio Shibata's photographs. His interest in the modern landscape began in 1980, when he produced nighttime exposures of car headlights and the neon lights of the city. Shibata (born in Tokyo) has also traveled throughout his native country to photograph concrete structures
